Hi,
in the root of c: there is a hidden file called BOOT.INI, edit this using
notepad or something....
BACK UP THIS FILE BEFORE YOU CONTINUE!
......delete the last entry in the file should look like this

multi(0)disk(0)rdisk(0)partition(2)\WINDOWS="Microsoft Windows XP
Professional" /fastdetect /NoExecute=OptIn

save and exit then reboot.

should go strait into windows.

Alternatively,

right click "my computer" and select "Properties"
click the Advanced tab
Startup and recovery button
untick the first checkbox, "time to display list of operating systems"
click OK
Reboot

Hope this helps,
Grimmer

Did you install Windows XP in a different partition when you reinstalled the
second time? If you're unsure, post the contents of your Boot.ini file.

Click Start, Run and type c:\boot.ini
Copy and paste the contents here.

To remove invalid entries from the Boot.ini, you can use MSConfig utility.

Click Start, Run and type MSCONFIG
Select the Boot.ini tab
Click Check All Boot Paths button
MSConfig will now quickly verify each line mentioned in the Boot.ini to
check if they are valid. If orphaned entries are detected, you'll be
prompted with this dialog:

- - -
It appears that the following line in the BOOT.INI file does not refer to a
valid operating system:

"multi(0)disk(0)rdisk(0)partition(2)\WINDOWS="Windows XP Professional "
/fastdetect /NoExecute=OptIn"

Would you like to remove it from the BOOT.INI file?
- - -

Choose Yes when the dialog box appears. This will remove the incorrect entry
from Boot.ini file.
