Windows Xp setup problem

iam using windows 98 se then iam want to install xp pro .. i did the clean
install by bootable xp cd

but in the installation process when it start the devices installtion the
problem with 34 minutes left happen to me and my pc always hanging

which support wrote about it here

iam check the file Pnplog.txt and find this written in it

so .. what should i do now to i can install xp wothout problems?

i was decided to run setup again with only cd driver and keybord mouse and
graphic card only attached to my motherboard

but now i found the graphic card RAGE 128 PRO in the Pnplog.txt file .. so
should i use other graphic card in the setup?

there are 7 items as u see

1- modem Robotics 56K Voice Win Int
2- graphic card RAGE 128 PRO AGP 4X TMDS
3- Primary IDE Channel
4- USB Root Hub
5- Secondary IDE Channel
6- PS/2 Compatible Mouse
7- Programmable interrupt controller

how should i do plz to complete the set up without problems

Just a couple of thoughts. Before trying the installation, did you run the
compatibility checker that comes with Windows XP? It would show you exactly
which device is not compatible. Also, if you have a different video card,
I would remove the Rage card and try the installation with a different video
card. I had a similar situation with a Spacewalker mainboard and an ATI
Rage 128 Pro 4x AGP card. I put in a nvidia geforce card and had no
problems with the installation.
