windows xp repair does not recognise a windows installation.

Bill Main

The clients motherboard has failed and has been replaced
with a totally different board. Windows XP Pro cannot
access the hdd controllers and blue screens at startup.
Booting with XP CD and choosing repair does not find a
Windows XP Installation only an available partition. Is
there any way to recover this windows installation?
 
Try going to the BIOS,exit page,select,load set up def-
aults,then save changes and exit.
In recovery type:CHKDSK /R
