windows xp pro trial cd

Tricia

Hi is it still possible to get a trial CD of Windows XP and if so where? I
have a friend who wants to see if XP Pro will run on her computer and as my
version is an oem version on a hidden partition it does not work on her
computer.
Thanks Tricia

There is a system analyzer that you can download from MS.
It will tell you if the system is capable of running XP.

True. It was the word "trial" that threw me. Of course there are
"Evaluation" versions of Windows, (mainly the Server flavours I think)
but not "Trial" versions!

She is "hoping" there is something like that. Of course "any" WindowsXP
CD (not restore cd) is a 30 day trial! :)

With one major difference - you have to pay for it first! ;-)

It's not a direct answer to your question, but if your friend
wants to find out whether Windows XP will run on her computer,
she might want to download and run the free Microsoft Upgrade
Advisor at
