Your memory, ie that installed on the motherboard memory slots
This maybe a single stick or two or more

If it is different files having copy issues most likely a hardeare issue such
as cd/dvdrom/memory/harddrive. If it is the same file faithfuly you may have
bad media.

OK-Got my XP loaded-up and running with no issues yet. I took your
suggestions, pulled almost all my hardware. Tried to install and still had
some install errors. Pulled one of my memory sticks and installation went
fine. Boot up was good all was well.

Reinstalled my hardware items still worked OK. Reinstalled my Mem stick,
started to show system errors and system wanted to keep shutting down due to
intenal failures. Left the stick out ond it has been working ok for the last
several days.

Looks like it was a memory problem. Thanks for the advise and direction.
