Windows XP Pro re-install CRASH

I was re-installing XP and during the process with 13
minutes to go a message box appeared (I forgot what it
said) that I never saw before and asked me OK/CANCEL.
Neither one cleared the box and the continued re-install
would proceed. I had to re-boot and got the messeage
several times and had to re-boot sever times. Now I cant
get XP to install anything. It shows a blue screen and
says "Set up is being restarted." The window goes black
and nothing happens except my mouse pointer appears. I
tried F8 at start up and nothing works.I tried safe mode
with command prompt and I dont get a command prompt. I
am trying not to format my drive. Any ideas?

Youll need to reformat, install xp cd,set in BIOS to boot to cd,
from hd,usually found in Boot Menu, boot device priority.Once
it boots to cd,at menu,select,install xp,new copy,delete current
partition (whats left of xp install),create one, then xp will format
the hd and install.
