Windows XP Pro Keeps Freeezing

I recently reinstalled Windows XP Pro from scratch, and am connecting to the
Internet through a dial-up connection. There is nothing else installed on the
computer, except for MS Office 2003. Things have been working great for the
past couple of months, however over the past week, my computer keeps
freezing. Weither I am on the Internet, writing an email, or just playing
solitiare, the system randomly freezes. I have to power off the computer then
power back up. It is happening more frequently, and I am not sure why. Any
thoughts? Is is Windows XP related or a problem with the motherboard?

There's no way to be sure based on what you've said, but you should be
aware that random freezes are often hardware problems. I'd suspect bad
RAM, overheating, or flaky power supply.
