Windows XP Pro - Desktop Background reverting to prior background.

Periodically my Desktop background reverts to the former background image I
had. When I go into Display/Desktop, the current background is not in the
list anymore. I reset to my current background and it works fine until some
time later on another reboot. Anyone have any ideas on why background is
reverting back? Thanks. Kent

When you set the new Desktop, you also have to click Apply, and then OK.

Thanks but I always Apply and then OK and I get the new background for awhile
- usually until I reboot or chg display settings in some way and then it
reverts back to the prior background.

I am also having this problem. Specifically, this always happens when I
switch from an external monitor back to my laptop monitor. My laptop is a
Thinkpad T41. Is this a graphics driver issue? Thanks for your help!
