I am running Windows XP Pro. on a new computer I built.
When I boot up everything goes ok until I get to the
desktop. At which point the screen goes black for a few
seconds, then the desktop shows, then the screen goes
black again, and finally the desktop shows. The black
screens occur during the taskbar icon startup. I have an
Asus A7N8X M/B, AMD XP 2500+ processor and an ATI Radeon
9500 Pro Video Card.
This did not happen on my old computer, Asus A7V, AMD1.2
Gig CPU, Nvidia TNT 32MB Video.
If anyone can tell me what is causing the black screen to
appear on boot, Thanks!
