Windows XP & NonCompatibility

My 10 year old son has special needs and wants to play
GeoSafari on our PC which has Windows XP. Windows XP is
not compatible with GeoSafari and the Company has no
plans to upgrade.

Is there anything short of buying a new PC I can do? I
can't uninstall XP because it resolves a problem with one
of my programs which I use every day.

Please help.
