Windows XP Login

Hi,

I encountered the following problem on my Notebook running on WinXPpro SP2.

The Notebook previously work fine, i mean run with WinXPpro SP2.
One day, when i ON the Notebook as usual, once i login to the Windows, the
Windows will stop processing. The whole desktop is empty. No icons, no
taskbar, no start menu.

When i press Ctrl+Alt+Del, Windows Security wizard will be prompt. So i can
only shut down, lock desktop, restart/shut down the NB only.

Do Anyone encounter this problem before?
Any solution for this without formatting of Harddisk?

As you start up, press F8 repeatedly. Menu should come up. Select "Last Known
Good Configuration".
