Windows XP Liceince key

Hi People

Today I installed a new graphic card into my PC and after I did a re-boot I
was informed that I had made a noticable change to my PC and needed to
re-activate my copy of Windows XP!!!

Problem... My son destroyed the old case and I re-built the guts into the
new one and wrote the key on a bit of paper.... which is now gone! Lost!

Question... is there a way I can find where this number is in the reg? if so
please help! if not... is there a solution that does not cost the earth?

Note: If this is an OEM keycode it most likely will not work when and if you
go to reinstall XP using the manufacture's supplied XP CD. It was the
sticker on the old PC case that you need for a clean install.
