Windows XP Keeps Rebooting - Zone Alarm problem?

XP Pro With SP1 the PC keeps rebooting once every 2-3 minutes. I believe
it's related to the latest Zone Alarm upgrade but I'm not 100% sure. If I
boot into safe mode I don't have the problem. I've done a Virus Scan from
safe mode and I'm clean (as expected). When I un-installed ZA from safe
mode and booted into normal mode, I don't have any problems. I reinstall ZA
and I'm back to rebooting. Maybe it's not ZA, but it sure seems like it.
This particular PC is used several times a week but is not my primary
computer. It has a very clean install with just a few programs installed
like MS Office, Norton AV, ZA, etc.

I signed up at their support group forum yesterday, but as of yet I haven't
even received the confirmation notice I need in order to post a message
there. Any idea's here? I've used ZA for several years without any
problems.

Thanks,

David...

Don't know about your original problem, but Zonealarm has changed hands, and
many of the original people have left. They recently released a new version
of their firewall, revised by their new people, and had immediate problems
with many bugs, so all of their support facilities have been overloaded. Not
clear yet if all the bugs are fixed in the newest version of ZA, but many
are.

If your version of ZA is newer than 4.5_494_000, it may be one of the new,
buggy versions. The newest version is 5.1.011.000(the free version) and so
far for me(a couple of days) seems to be working without a problem.

Dick,

Didn't realize the changes that took place there. The problems only began
when I went from 5.0.59 to 5.1.011. On one machine, (the daily workhorse)
5.1 works fine. On the one I initiated this thread about (on a very similar
machine) 5.1 crashes it, but now that I've went back to 5.0 it seems to be
stable.

Go figure... One would think that the primary PC, the one with more
installed on it, meaning more variables to go wrong, that would be the
unstable one...

If it was ZA version 5.0 go and get the later build 5.1.011 that is now
available

Or go back to a version 4
