Hi,

I need to re-install windows XP on my other PC. Problem is, this PC
has 2 SCSI CD-ROM drives.

I set SCSI as the primary boot device in the BIOS, and the install
starts, but then I get the blue STOP screen..........

Can anyone help as to what I'm supposed to do???

Thanks,

Arthur

Do you have a floppy drive? If so, download from microsoft the installation
setup files for XP to 6 floppies. You will need the driver for your SCSI
devices on another floppy to be loaded early in setup by pressing F6.

Is the option to boot from CD in the BIOS? try that too. What error is
indicated on the blue screen?

The error message I get is:

STOP 0X0000007B (0XF797E63C,0XC0000034,0X00000000,0X00000000)

This happens right after the setup files are done copying..........

Thanks,

Arthur

What type of hard drive are you installing to? Do you need to specify
additional drivers when setup starts? 0x7B or INACCESSIBLE_BOOT_DEVICE means
just that. The link I provided explains in some more detail what is
happening. In your case I would make sure that you have the right drivers
for your boot drive your installing too, and that your BIOS settings are
correct.
