windows xp home edition

I just got a laptop, and in the middle of install windows xpsp I relize I
don't have the case for the cd I look up and down the house I found the box
but no case,
and the laptop is stuck at the page that ask for the product key is there
anyway I can get one........ or do i have to buy a new one? also the laptop
will not turn off. should I take out the cd? please help

To turn laptop off press and hold power button for 5 seconds.
