windows xp Home edition

Have a Gateway computer with windows xp home and the restore disk has been
lost how can I get a replacement disk for xp
Gateway advises that they do not have any extras and the operating system is
in a hidden directory????

If the OS is in a hidden directory, Gateway as well as your Gateway manual
will be able to tell you how it works.
Since Gateway is the OEM, they and not Microsoft are your source.
Microsoft only replaces retail and not OEM media.
