Windows XP Home edition with SP2 --frequent hang ups, etc.

After installation of the GENUINE Microsoxt XP Home edition with SP2, I find
that the computer hangs up quite often. Also, the computer is
extraordinarily slow. It takes more than 8 to 10 minutes to come to the
desktop. I am also unable to start with the installation CD at startup. It
automatically goes to the boot loader.

As long as I was using the pirated version, I did not have any problem.

Can someone help me please

SP-2 does not appear to be the OPs issue.

Returning to SP-1 or staying with SP-1 is less and less of an option as time
goes on.
SP-1 is no longer supported and less and less updates will be available for
that unsupported configuration.

Most SP-2 installation issues are caused by preexisting problems.
All problems, known and unknown, should be resolved before installing
anything especially something as major as a Service Pack.
The Service Pack Installation Checklist can help make sure the computer is
ready for SP-2:
