Windows XP home edition with SP2 and internet problem

Hi all,

I recently format my computer and reinstall Windows XP home edition
with SP2. It looks strange to me that it cannot connect to the internet
via road runner high speed cable modem.I think I might miss installing
something from the CD. I wonder if anyone has this problem before and
know how to fix it.

First - update all of your hardware drivers via each individual
manufacturer's web pages. Do not use Microsoft Updates for Hardware
drivers - and in your case - concentrate on motherboard chipset and network
adapter.

Second - contact RoadRunner for technical support.
