Updates to SP2

Bill

I've reinstalled XP Home with SP2 but do not have internet access with that
machine. How can I download subsequent updates to this Windows 7 machine to
burn to a CD or DVD and install on the XP box?

Thanks

Bill

You can download them from the MS Update Catalog, you may need to get crafty
with your search term. If you type in: windows xp or windows xp updates, it
will result in over 1000 returns yet only list the first 1000. If you type in:
windows xp critical updates, it should return about 120 updates.

Hi Brian

I'm back -have burnt CD now next question:

When I search the catalogue how far back do I need to go to get the required
critical updates post SP 3?

(Its a long way around I know, but I'm getting an old machine ready to
donate to a friend who will only have a dialup connection.)

Thanks

Bill
