If I understand the question correctly, you are saying that a clean install
of windows (done with a standard win XP CD from MS, onto a blank drive) is
having problems from the start, like IE closing, and the machine restarting.
My guess would be bad RAM, or perhaps a bad hard drive. There are
diaganostic programs to test hard drive, and software available to test
memory. You should look into that.

I think you mean you've done repair installs. These don't change much of
the registry or non MS-files, which is where your problems may well be - so
it won't actually help much.

What kind of problems?
My Internet explorer 7 Closes by itself.

Turn off all add-ons, under Tools, Manage Add-Ons, Enable and Disable.
the PC reboots by itself.

This indicates a crash and is perhaps the place to start after turning off
the add-ons. Go to Control Panel, System, Advanced, Startup and Recovery,
and turn *off* "Automatically restart" in the System Failure box. Choose
OK back to the desktop.

This won't fix anything. It will, however, likely provide a cryptic blue
screen at the crash with STOP Error, and that is actually helpful. Post
back with that.

I would also suggest that you install - you may need to use another PC for
this - ccleaner, and run it.

www.ccleaner.com

Let it remove all temporary files and finally restart the system. This may
or may not solve the actual problem but it is certainly a good place to
start.
