Windows XP Fax setup

I am trying to get the XP Fax component working on my PC.

I installed a US robotics fax modem.

I have a DSL line, a normal phone line and a fax line.

The DSL line is connected to a network card.

Do I connect the fax line or the phone line to the fax modem? Or does it
even matter?

When I try and send a fax (with either the phone line or fax line connected)
I get a fatal error. Do I have to use the dialer rules?

Thanks for the quick reply Kelly. I've read the articles however my problem
is not solved.

He's some more information. When I connect the modem to my phone line or fax
line, the fax machine I am sending the fax to receives a call but nothing is
printed out and the PC says a fatal error occurred.

Any clue as to why this might be happening? Am I missing a protocol or a
configuration?

Thanks,

Dan
