Windows XP FAX Disconnects

I am trying to use the Windows FAX program. I set up the script for
long-distance and international calls. The program dials access number,
account number, PIN, destination codes and numbers correctly, BUT it
disconnects before the called phone ever answers. Message: No Answer

Is there a time-out setting that I am missing? Any suggestions?

Thanks,

Yes, there is a connect tine-out setting for the modem. 'Control
Panel|Phone and Modem Options|Modems|Properties|Advanced|Change Default
Preferences', change the value in the "Cancel the call if not connected
within (xx) seconds" window. You may also need to add several commas to the
end of the phone number to keep the modem busy a little longer; each comma
adds a 2-3 second delay to the call sequence.

Hal,
Thanks for your advice. I reset the time-out from 60 sec. to 90 sec. and
added commas to the calling number. I think my Intel modem 537EP V9x DF PCI
does not support a longer time-out setting, because the modem still
disconnects after 60 sec.
Thanks anyhow.
