Hi,

I am facing this weird issue with my XP startup....

Since past 2 days....whenever I am trying to boot my laptop, it crashes with
a blue screen and reboots. I tried all the ways to solve this issue..

Can anyone help me out in solving this??

Regards,
Mayuresh

Disable automatic restart on system failure. This should help by
allowing time to write down the STOP code properly. Keep pressing
the F8 key during and select option.
Do not re-enable automatic restart on system failure until you have
resolved the problem. Check for variants of the Stop Error message.

Do you have a Windows XP CD or a Restore CD?

What is the make and model of your computer?

Hope this helps.

Hi Gerry,

I did Disable startup as per your instructions. Now below is the STOP code:

STOP: c000021a {Fatal System Error}
The windows Logon Process system process terminated unexpectedly with a
status of 0xc0000005 (0x00000000 0x00000000).
The systen has been shut down.

I have a TOSHIBA Satellite A65-1067S with Windows XP Home Edition SP-1

What I have is a Recovery DVD supplied by TOSHIBA.

I can recover the system with this....but I have a lot of important data in
the laptop which will be lost if I do this.

Can you suggest me something so that I can recover my data??

Regards
Mayuresh.
