ADRIAN RIBAS

My corporate network consist of a asingle Active Directory domain.
All servers run Windows Server 2003, and all client computer run Windows XP
Professional SP2.
We have installed MS SMS 2003, Trend Officescan antivirus, and Altiris
product on clients.
Some Windows XP clients doesn't show desktop icons after the logon process.
Ping request to the client works fine, but i need restart the client
computer by shutdown button, to complet the logon process correctly.
Event viewer doesn't show anything about the problem.
How do I test to find the problem software.
I'll be very grateful.

This group is for the support of Windows Defender. You'd be far better off
in a group devoted to Windows Server 2003, for example.

I've seen this issue posted before, so you should be able to find
information on it with some careful searching on Google. I think the thread
I saw was in an SBS forum.

If this is a software conflict, MSCONFIG is a useful way to be able to
remove third-party code from the startup axis in an easily reversable way.
