Windows XP blue screen when accessing certain folder

Hi,
I am using XP pro and when I tried to access certain
folders (at least 2), I always got blue screen.
I am not sure what has changed recently in
hardware/configuration.
I check using norton/chkdsk, and it found no problem on
the drive. I tried to access using dos console and boot
in safe mode but I did not get the blue screen.

Any idea what might be wrong and how to fix it? Any
helps would be appreciated.

the blue screen appears when there is conflict in the hardware / Drivers .
im not sure about your case but try to do a system restore to a the day that everything was working fine .
