windows won't start.

Computer hangs when in the windows loading screen,will not progress any
further.Attempted to load in safe mode but whe
line:mlti(0)disk(0)rdsk(0)partition(1)\window\system32\drivers\mup.sys is
reached it just hangs.Tried booting fom cdrom,floppy same result wont load
windows.No hardware or software changes made that i know of.Running windows
XP home edition.Can anybody throw some light on the problem.

Have you checked your system for viruses? Another thing yuo might try is you
can borrow someone elses working xp machine is creating an emergency boot
disk. Visit my website http://xphelpandsupport.mvps.org Click the Win XP Faq
button and the look at question 10. This will give you instruction on how to
prepare the emergency floppy disk. If you can't use another xp machine to
extract the files needed then email me (you will find my details on the
Contacts page of my website) and i will email you the relevant files.

Hi,

Is this laptop or Desktop.If its a Laptop I beleieve its because of the
Cooling Problem and by the way did u add any additional memory ?
