Complete failure after windows update on July 11

After install an update on july 11, one of our windows cp
professional did not startup anymore. The installation is
an OEM from Compaq.

In safe mode it is frezze after load Mup.sys

On normal start up it hangs after logo and progression
task....

Does any one have an idea about to solve it? It is a
sales manager computer... and I do not want to loss any
data.

Had the same problem,it was KB839645,keep trying to log

in,may take several hundred trys but sooner or later
it'll work.good luck,that one drove me nuts and cost me
$3500 in lost buisness.
