Windows Update

I've just done a clean install of Windows XP Home SP-1 and ran Windows
Update, I've updated all the Drivers and Critical Patches which are 22MB,
downloading them takes 15 Mins and the install Progress takes around an
hour, this has never been this slow before??

That is about normal for me, I'm on dial up.

Be careful accepting any driver updates from WinUp. Notoriously
undependable.
