Windows Update Thank You message

When I click on the windows update on IE6 or the windows
website, I get re-directed to
http://v4.windowsupdate.microsoft.com/en/thanks.asp
which gives me the following message:-

Thank you for your interest in Windows Update

Windows Update is the online extension of Windows that
helps you get the most out of your computer.

You must be running a Microsoft Windows operating system
in order to use Windows Update.


I am using Win2000 Pro.
Any ideas?????

I had the same problem.

Open IE and type in the address manually.

Should be.
http://v4.windowsupdate.microsoft.com/en/default.asp

You will then probably find that future visits using
Update in IE6 will take you to the correct link.

I'd also advise clearing your internet cache and cookies
and making sure your security settings are set to default
and not HIGH or anything.
