Windows Update site

Why does IE sometimes go to the Window Update page when I
open it? It is not set as my home page and only
occasionaly does it.

Just curious. Seems to be a bug since I use automatic
updates you would think that they would not be trying to
route me there to get updates.

IE Tools>Internet Options>Advanced>Browsing>Automatically check for IE
updates (check/uncheck as desired).
