Just had to replace the motherboard etc in a PC with Xp Pro/SP2
installed. Wouldn't boot so I did a repair and all went fine.
Activated over the internet OK but when I now go to try and install
any updates, IE hangs part way through loading the windowsupdate page
and gets no further.

Any ideas please?

cheers,
Len

Hi Len,

Click start/run, type C:\Windows\windowsupdate.log and click ok. Scroll to
the bottom of the listing and look for an error code in the format of
0x00000000. Post back with this information.
