windows update overrides IE homepage

Since I recently updated XP from Microsoft Update,
everytime I restart my computer, my homepage is reset to
res://mshp.dll/index.html#23648
I consider this a very malicious misuse of Microsoft's
update service. This is a virus that Microsoft put on my
computer, pure and simple.

Does anyone know how I can stop this? Please email me at

This is NOT a virus that Microsoft put on your computer.

This is evidence of spyware or a trojan.

Why don't you search Google and try to find the answer
yourself instead of being an arrogant TROLL !
