My windows continually changes the homepage back to 'res://mshp.dll/index.html#22776' even when I reset the homepage in the options menu

How do I make the homepage selection stick?

It is conceivable that software has been installed on your PC without your
knowledge. If possible, install and run one or both of these utilities,
which will detect that software, and give you the option to vanquish it...
