Windows Update... choosing from list...

I was shutting down my system from the Start menu and the
"Turn Off" indicated that there were updates ready to install.

I have my "Automatic Updates" setting to
"Download updates... but let me choose when to install..."

I thought I would get a list of the updates, or is this
only when I have the setting set to
"Notify me but don't automatically download or install them"

No - you can still choose what to install - but not from the shutdown. The
'Updates Available' yellow shield will likely appear if you shut down and
then later power back up and log in as an administrator.

That's what I thought/hoped, but no appearance... is there a way
to force it?

The yellow shield appeared overnight so I'm good to go.
Thanks for the assistance...
