windows update broke my internet today - software distribution service 3

Hi all,
Today I received an update from Microsoft
I didn't pay much attention to what they were installing, but after I
carried out the requested restart
I could not reach the web, or my pop3 email.

I had to uninstall "software distribution service 3" using system restore.

anyone else? or are you still offline ..

I see now that many people suffered similar problems today.
Don't Microsoft test these things? < rhetorical ..

I followed this advice, but I was a bit lazy, I figured I would delete
everything in the logs folder, ooops! ..
I decided to reinstall zonealarm andI find that Zonelabs have made an update
for zone alarm available to fix this issue.
currently downloading .....
