Windows Update and Video Drivers

Twice I have used Microsoft Update to get new video
drivers and TWICE it has completely screwed up my
machine. So, I just don't get them anymore. But now,
some Microsoft ****er has decided that this is a CRITICAL
update. So, Microsoft really wants to **** up my
computer again. STOP IT.
 
I ahve used XP since it appeared and I have never seen a video driver appear
as a critical update. What card do you have?

Also, no updates are enforced, just don't install them rather than
bad-mouthing in here
