windows startup screen

have just reloaded windows xp as having problems
start up screen is not back to usual
 
1. Click Start - Control Panel
2. Open USER ACCOUNTS
3. Click "Change the Way Users Log on or Off"
4. Make a check mark on "Use Welcome Screen". Apply the changes.

have been working on it all day and finally worked it out myself
