| How do you boot into the Recovery mode?

The Recovery Console can be installed on the PC.

<path>\i386\winnt32 /cmdcons

Examples:
c:\i386\winnt32 /cmdcons
or
c:\windows\i386\winnt32 /cmdcons

Or you can boot off the Windows XP distribution CDROM and choose repair (not a repair
installaion).
