Windows Security Center problem

Hi,

I've recently uninstalled Norton Internet Security 2006 because it made my
computer run horrendously slow. I noticed when I uninstalled it that the
Windows Security Center reports that "Norton Internet Worm Protection 4.0" is
disabled and should be reenabled. This is incorrect since it's not even
installed. I've removed ALL registry entries pertaining to norton internet
security but it still says that. Even after I installed ZoneAlarm, windows
security center says that I have two firewalls installed which is NOT true.
Also, PC Wizard 2006 shows that a "Symantec Firewall" is installed, which is
also not true.

So, is there a registry entry that I can change to make Windows Security
Center realize that there are no Symantec Firewall products installed on my
computer anymore? This is VERY annoying.

Thanks.

and now you know why lots of people dislike symantec.

I think theres a tool on their site you need to run after uninstall to clear
up all the rubbish that is still left on your system. Try searching their
support site for it if someone else can't post a direct link.

thanks for the reply :)

Unfortunately, I've run that two times already, but it still shows up in the
windows security center, any other suggestions?
