Windows Running slowly.

I hope someone can help. I'm usning a Sony Vaio laptop
that just started running very slowly. When I checked the
task manager it indicatest that the CPU is maxed out at a
100% usage. I can't seem to get all of the processe to
terminate (those that I beleive are save to terminate).
Any ideas on how to bring my system back to life?

TIA for any help.
 
Sounds like you could have a virus. Might want to try
booting into safe mode and see if you can run a virus scan.
