Windows Remote Assistance

How do i get this to work, i have gave all the rights and exceptions but i
still can't get anyone to remotely enter my pc. i have tried everything
including removing my switched and directly connecting to the pc from the
modem.

any help appreciated

Is remote assistance checked in the exceptions settings of vista's firewall?

yes, I have it checked in exceptions and currently windows firewall is the
only firewall i have. I even too away my router so I am directly connected to
the modem but still won't work. It is just so weird.
