Windows PE and RIS

Hello,

I have a test environment set up with Windows 2003 Server with RIS
installed. I added Windows PE 2004 with WMI, WSH, HTA and ADO to the RIS
server as is described in the manual that comes with Windows PE 2004. When I
boot Windows PE on my client via the PXE boot option, Windows PE starts and
using factory -winpe it start's in Win PE mode, then the oc.bat is executed
registering the optionalcomponents that I added using the vbs script. When
oc2.bat is finished my scripts are started.

Now for my question(s):
the starting process of Windows PE takes up quite some time, especially when
the factory.exe -winpe is ran, the: 'starting networking' takes up about 2
minutes to finish then the oc.bat runs and also takes about 20 sec to finish.

When i start Windows PE from the cd-rom it was much faster! the 'starting
networking' took up about 1 minute and the oc.bat took about 10 seconds! half
the time...

Also when Windows PE is ran by RIS after oc.bat has completed and my scripts
are started, they are very slow, in my case first a vbs script is ran that
connects to a network drive and writes some reg values, then that script runs
an hta script that query's an sql database, the hta script screen build up
takes ages! there is also a pulldown menu in that script, when I click it it
also reacts very slow. And again when I do this from the cdrom and I have the
scripts on a floppy they are fast!? When Windows PE is booted up in the RIS
case and i wait a while and then re-run my scripts they are faster, but i
assume this is becouse of memory cashing?

Is there anyone who can help me with this?

Thank you very much for taking the time to read this.

Kind regards,

Koen.
