Windows Optional Components

I attempt to reinstall the optional components from the Windows XP Pro SP2 CD
but I receive a message to say that certain files cannot be located, similar
to the problem that Chitra had. When I look at 'i386' on the Windows CD or in
C:/windows/system32, there is a temporary file created with the correct name
but is still not accessible.

Can anyone assist?

Try installing xp (windows) optional components from the xp cd,not the
SP2 cd....

Thanks Andrew for your response. I should have made the enquiry clearer but I
am using the original Windows XP PRO CD with SP2. I don't have any very
original XP Pro CD's prior to that with SP2 included.
