Hello,
I'd like to find out how stop Windows Messenger to start every time when I
check for my e-mails in Outlook Express 6, when Tools--->Windows Messenger
is not active (grayed out).

Change View> Layout so that Contacts is not displayed.

Run REGEDIT.EXE and navigate to
HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Outlook Express. Insert a new
DWORD entry
Hide Messenger
here and set it to a value of
2
