Windows Messenger

When I try to sign in with Windows Messenger, I get a message telling me that
I need to verify my email address. When I try to "verify email address",
Windows tells me to go to my inbox and read an email message -- that is not
there and that I have never received. I checked the email address on IM and
it is correct.

Does anyone know how to get IM to send another message to my email address
so that I can get it verifies? I seem to be caught in some sort of loop where
IM wants me to verify my email address based on a message that I never
received and I have no way of generating another email message that I can
verify.

Thanks,

John

Found some info here: http://www.newbie.org/help/messages/11138.html.
While it's not your exact problem I'll bet the excerpt below will solve it:

Go to Windows Messenger- TOOLS/OPTIONS/ACCOUNTS/ and click to Sign-In with
'Communications Service' instead of '.Net passport'

Read the whole thing though.. There's information on Windows Messenger vs.
MSN Messenger.
