windows media player

Can someone please help me? Why is it that everytime I start my computer
windows media player comes up? I've looked in msconfig, registry, ran all
types of spyware tools you can think of. Went back to media player 9 and
upgraded back to media player 10. I can find no traces of windows media
player starting up when I bootup my computer. Any advice would be greatly
appreciated.

As microsoft states "one cannot switch back from WMP 10 to WMP 9",so
if you did somehow,the system files are probably corrupted...
