Does Windows Media Player support upconverting regular DVDs to high
definition? If not, could someone point me into the direction of a player
that does.

Its not possible. You cannot magic HD from normal DVD where does all
the extra data come from?

You could process a DVD so it would play on HD equipment but it would
be no better, very likely worse than the original so whats the point?

To get HD output you need a HD input.

If you find something that will do this let me know, I will buy
shares.

Haven't you heard of Upconverting or Progressive Scanning DVD players
before?

Well I understand. I am looking for a program that functions like a
progressive scan player. If I don't like what I see then I won't spend the
money and waste the space for another DVD player.
