windows media player crashes in iexplorer 6

I get the following error in the event log..Only seemed to
start happending after I installed all the windows
updates...

Error:

Faulting application iexplore.exe, version 6.0.2800.1106,
faulting module wininet.dll, version 6.0.2800.1106, fault
address 0x0005c0cc.
