windows media player 10

hello, mine has the error C00D11CD..it was playing a file ,then suddenly
stopped..now i cant burn,or play music well...sounds skipping and
scratchy...i dont know what to do..im really new at this..thanks for your
help....is there a way to reset the player?even when the computer starts, the
sound is weird .helppp!!thanks
