Media Player will not play MP3 music

Hello all.
I have a interesting problem. I cannot get my Media Player to play the
MP3s that I have stored on my network. I have put all of my CD's into a
network folder and shared it out to the network. However, when I try to play
the music, I cannot get any sound. I checked the sound card and it works
fine. If I play a game the sound comes out, if I do something with testing
the sound card it, works. It started with another computer on my network and
I didnt think to much about it right away and played with the settings a
little but was not too worried about it as I didnt use that computer too
much. Even if I put in a music CD I cant get sound out of the player. If I
open the default Media Player I can get the music. Has anyone else
experienced this problem?

All help and advice is welcome.

Thank you all in advance.
